COMPUTER IN TEACHING AND LEARNING~Course / Learning Management System (C/LMS)

Assalamualaikum and adios guys..
What are u guys doing? I hope u guys are in a good terms of health..InsyaAllah..

This week, we are given an assignment about C/LMS or Course / Learning Management System as it is stated on the proforma. Once again, we need to do the assignment with our partner and I'm still partnering with my buddy, Ummi Amira Yacob and still, it is a THINK, PAIR and SHARE task.  Heard about C/LMS..I'm wondering..what is that actually stands for? What is the functions of it? Again...I know nothing about C/LMS...and I need to put on more effort to understand what is C/LMS.

C/LMS is a software application for administration, documentation, tracking and reporting of training programme, classroom and online events, e-learning programmes and training content. In UKM, we are using SPIN System, that is web-based intelligent courseware delivery engines that utilizes multimedia to enhance the learning teaching and learning process engines which supports multimedis learning materials.

By using C/LMS, we can fulfill our educational needs. The C/LMS used by educational institutions to enhance and support classroom teaching and offering courses to a larger populations of learners regardless where they are. Instructor or lecturer can deliver any information or announcement via this software without meeting their students or audience.

C/LMS usually being practice by higher educational institutions and it is very useful to students and to those who are in educational field. Lecturers will use  C/LMS to upload the task for students and the lecture notes, while students use C/LMS to download the notes before the lecture class begin.

To access C/LMS, we must always connect to the internet network. We need to create our own account to join the particular websites. In UKM, it is compulsory to students to register with the SPIN System to allow them access the e-learning and virtual learning system anytime they want to.

COMPUTER IN TEACHING AND LEARNING ~ Web 2.0 in Education

Assalamualaikum and hye guys.
This week, we are asked to do an assignment with partner. So, we all need to find a partner and I'm partnering with Ummi Amira Binti Yacob. While looking at the tasks..it all seems quite tough for me, someone that have a very little knowledge about software and website. However, we have no choice and we must do the assignment.

After my partner and I gone through a discussion, we have made up a decision and pick a topic about WEB 2.0 IN EDUCATION. Even though we are asked to do it pairly, we have to study and make a research on our own and after that we need to discuss it with the other students about the topic of Web 2.0 in Education. For each pair, we need to create a document in one of our Facebook groups then explain and discuss it critically. This is a THINK, PAIR and SHARE assignment.

Web 2.0 is the term given to describe a second generation of the World Wide Web (www) that is focused on the ability for people to collaborate and share any information online. Here in Web 2.0 in Education, students' work can be seen, commented on and collaboratively enhanced by a larger audience. In this way, the relationship of students to gather the ideas and content are no longer constrained to the narrow interactions with their teachers but they can interact with their peers and others.

Introducing Web 2.0 in Education giving students and educators chances to discover the learning potential they hold for themselves. Students can make a research and revision wider and not only depending on textbook.

People will use Web 2.0 whenever they wanted to log in their social networking account, their blogs or by using any search engine tools. As long as they are connected to the internet, they can use these tools without limits.

The benefits of using Web 2.0 in Education are the learning process will be more effective and more interactive, minimize the need for specialized software and hardware, and also improve students' skills to use language and cultures better.

COMPUTER IN TEACHING AND LEARNING - Registration, Usage and Ethics

Assalamualaikum and a very good day.
Hye, my name is Erna Lina Binti Tumadi. I am 20 years old. Now, I'm studying in National University of Malaysia, Faculty of Education under TESL Programme. I glad to be here in UKM..

During my first week class in Computer in Education, I can expect, this will be a quite fun and enjoy learning session because it all related to the computer and the internet. I'm really lucky to have Prof. Madya Dr. Norazah binti Mohd Nordin as my lecturer and Dr. Siti Fatimah Binti Mohd. Yassin as the coordinator. With this learning session, I can improve my skills while using a gadget and all kinds of software. Thanks a lot to all my friends that always guide me and not forgotten, my lovely lecturer PM.Dr. Norazah.

For the first two weeks, our lecturer had explain to us about this subject and the proforma. We all have to follow the proforma in order to finish up the assignment given to us. We have to make an official e-mail, Facebook, Facebook Group, Yahoo Group and also an official blog. We need all that for our learning session for the whole semester. Never crossed in my mind that I will have my own blog especially an educational blog. It's a bit awkward for me because I don't have any experience in writing a blog and I don't really know what I should write in my blog. Then, this will be a new experience for me. I'll try my best while doing all the assignments. ^^,

*What I have learned so far?
    - I know how to make Yahoo mail and Gmail.
